Good Times

It's every little boys dream.

Exploring a maze like hotel.

Riding up and down two story escalators.

Being pushed wildly on a very large tree swing.

And wrestling with a dog around twice their (individual) size and weight.

Good times.

Theseus and the Sewing Machine

Well, after a week-long debate over whether or not to move to wordpress (I'm still undecided), and a very restful change to a school schedule which actually works (except when I'm too tired or stressed to function ~ however, I have a back-up plan for that situation), I'm blogging.

I have exciting news. I had to order thread to complete my bird afghan/bedspread, and the thread came monday!

Less exciting news, I took my sewing machine in for a check-up. I can't live without my Bernina! The craft/junk room looks so bare without him/her. Is a sewing machine a him or a her? I can't decide. I know men usually have their cars/ships/boats etc. named after women, but I just can't really wrap my mind around a male sewing machine.

I think I'll stick with the plant world and it will be androgynous.

Now that I've decided this most important point, here are a few shots from school this week.

The maze of the minotaur, from Theseus and the minotaur. Many greeks were sacrificed to the minotaur's maze and it's various traps before Theseus was actually allowed to go in and finish the minotaur off. I think more greek were trapped internally in the maze than were eaten by the minotaur.

At the island of greece (the shield) waiting to send off Theseus and the other unhappy 12 on their boat (the train) to the isle of Crete.
