My Birthday Present

A sweet little dolly-girl came my way just in time for my special day, which is Saturday, but I couldn't resist showing her to all of you.



Here she sits, ensconced within her cradle, next to her wardrobe, trying to decide of which cloth her bedding should be made. She chose the 'bed of roses' upon which she is sitting. Further pictures will follow at a later date as I outfit her bedding, and a few other details, such as a quilt.

Her cradle was a found item which I rescued from the local Goodstuff last year. Her wardrobe was a gift from another doll-lover, who had obtained it without a real purpose and gifted it to me. The doll chest helped decorate the tops of my kitchen cabinets until I remembered, when she arrived, its presence above my desk.

This lovely little lady was made by Ulla at German Dolls. You can find the link in my sidebar. I collected several of her Pocketbabies for Easter Egg stuffing this year, and when her 12 inch doll became available so near my birthday I *could not resist!*

My husband previously asked me what I wanted for my birthday (weeks ago), and I told him I didn't know............then had to confess Wednesday I had figured out what I wanted, and it had already come in the mail! :O)
