(to the tune of the twelve days of Christmas)
On the first night of Halloweening my kiddos went with me.
To Crossroads mall
and came home with lots of candy.
On the second day of Halloweening
my kiddos made with me
three tie dyed shirts
and went to First UM church
and came home with lots of candy.
On the third day of Halloweening
the kiddos bounced with glee
from First East round up
to the YMCA
and over to First Baptist
then onward to our neighbors
and came home with lots
and lots
and lots
and lots of candy.
(end of song)
My haul. From our super-cool neighbors.
My youngest took pity on me and gave me something I really wanted.
A Babe Ruth full-size bar. Oh yes.
Did I mention we have some pretty cool neighbors?
We came home to a really hoppin' trick 'r treat going on in our neighborhood, of all places. In years past (before the development at the end of our street), we were a sad, sad little neighborhood devoid of great places to trick r' treat.
I would have been happy to give away a handful of candy in those days.
This year, I gave away two jack o'lanterns full.
Of organic lollipops. I have to keep up the neighborhood standard.
Happy times are here again.
Next year, Daddy takes the boys and I'll be dressing up to answer the door.
Bhwahahahahahaha!
Happy Halloween!
